Tarleton's Thomas-Rivera Earns Academic All-American Honors
DENVER - The College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced the 2022 Academic All-American teams for baseball with Tarleton's Kemuel Thomas-Rivera earning second-team honors.
Thomas-Rivera holds perfect 4.00 grade point averages as a graduate kinesiology students while also playing for the Texans. On the field he led the Texans with a .357 batting average and .442 on-base percentage.
To be nominated, a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) at his current institution. In addition, nominated athletes must have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the position listed.
