DENVER, COLO. (Jan. 31) - Fresno State forward/center Larry Abney has been named the Western Athletic Conference men's basketball player of the week.

Abney, a senior from Nyack, N.Y. The 24 rebounds are a WAC season-high and rank third nationally this year. He also had four steals in the game.
