Gallop, a 6-1 senior middle blocker from Roseburg, Ore. (Roseburg), paced San Jose State to a 2-2 record this past week. The Spartans concluded their regular season with a 22-9 overall record, 13-3 in the WAC, good for second place.
For the week, Gallop averaged 4.69 kills, 3.00 digs, 1.15 blocks and hit .376 (61-14-125). She also tallied five assists and two service aces. Against TCU, Gallop recorded 12 kills, 10 digs and eight total blocks. Against SMU, she hit .472 (19-2-36) to go along with three assists, 13 digs and four block assists. Gallop was named to the all-tournament team at the Pacific Tournament where she notched eight kills and two digs against Arizona. She finished up the regular season with 22 kills and 14 digs against Pepperdine.
Gallop broke the San Jose State career blocking record against Pacific and now has 450. She also broke the school's single-season kills record against Pacific and now has 617.
Gallop currently leads the WAC in kills (5.51 kpg), ranks fifth in hitting percentage (.309), is tied for 10th in blocks (1.11 bpg) and is 14th in digs (2.85 dpg).
