DENVER -- San Jose State, the 2000 Western Athletic Conference women's soccer tournament champion, headlined the all-Tournament team that was announced after the final match on Sunday, November 5.
Spartan junior Kristina Jacob was voted the WAC tournament Most Valuable Player. The midfielder scored the first goal in San Jose State's 3-1 handling of Tulsa in the championship match on November 5. Jacob put 10 shots on goal and netted one goal, while assisting on two goals for a total of four points during the tournament.
By defeating UTEP, 2-0, in first-round action and then upsetting both SMU and Tulsa in the semifinals and final, respectively, San Jose State earned its first berth the the NCAA women's soccer tournament.
