Kaziah Hill, Boise State, Sophomore, Forward
Hill, a natvie of Boise, Idaho, tallied a goal and two assists over two games last weekend. Against Rice on Nov. 2, Hill contributed an assist, then added a goal and another assist in a 3-1 win over Tulsa two days later. Her four points on the weekend bring her total to 27 for the year to lead the WAC in points. Hills 27 points and seven assists both are school records, besting the previous marks of 23 and five, respectively.

Jill Heinemann, SMU, Freshman, Midfielder
Heinemann, a freshman from Plano, Texas, notched three goals and an assist in two matches last weekend. Against Tulsa last Friday, Heinemann found the back of the net at 58:49 and added another goal just 1:40 later. She also tallied an assist as the Mustangs scored five second-half goals to overwhelm Tulsa, 6-1. Then on Sunday Heinemann scored the first goal of the match against Rice, as the Mustangs went on to win, 2-1.

Arlene Devitt, Hawai`i, Sophomore, Forward
Devitt, a native of Kapaa, Hawaii, set a new school record for points (6) in a match when she tallied two goals and two assists in a 5-1 rout of conference foe UTEP. The two goals tie the school record shared by several players while Devitts pair of assists also ties the Wahine single-game record. For the season, Devitt leads Hawai`i in points (17), goals (7), shots (39) and game-winners (2). She is also tied for second on the team in assists with three.

Oct. 15
Tara Comfort, SMU, Junior, Forward
Comfort, a native of Carrollton, Texas (Newman Smith), earned a total of seven points on three goals and one assist. The junior led SMU to convincing wins over Fresno State, 3-0, and San Jose State, 4-0.
She scored one goal and one assist for three points in SMUs win over Fresno State. Comfort scored two goals in the Mustangs win over San Jose State despite the fact that the match was suspended after 75 minutes due to severe weather. Comfort is second in scoring with four goals and four assists.
Oct. 9
Kim Harvey, SMU, Sophomore, Midfielder
Sophomore midfielder Kim Harvey led SMU to its first two conference victories of the season last week. The Garland, Texas, native netted two goals, including her second game-winning goal of the year, in her teams 3-2 win over Nevada. Harvey finished the week with four points and two goals off of seven shots.
Harvey has started nine of the 10 games she has played for the Mustangs this season while posting four goals and eight points off of 19 shots. Her four goals are tied for the team lead.
Oct. 1
Christy Messenger, Boise State, Junior, Midfielder
Junior midfielder Christy Messenger led her team to a first-ever win over in-state rival Idaho State, earning her WAC Player of the Week honors. The Yakima, Wash., native scored the game-winning goal with four seconds left in the first overtime period to put the Broncos on top, 1-0.
Messenger has started all eight games for Boise State, recording two goals, one assist and 21 shots for the season.
Sept. 25
Abby Fahrig, Tulsa, Freshman, Goalkeeper
Freshman goalkeeper Abby Fahrig led her team to three victories by posting two shutouts and 12 saves last week for Tulsa, earning her WAC Player of the Week honors. The St. Charles, Mo., native finished the week allowing only one goal in three games while playing every minute in goal for the Golden Hurricane. Fahrig ended up with a 0.33 goals against average for the week. She also received tournament MVP mention for her performance at the 2001 Oklahoma Shootout.
Fahrig has started all seven games for Tulsa, recording three shutouts and 45 saves. She has allowed just eight goals in 635 minutes, leaving her with a 1.13 goals against average for the season.

Arlene Devitt, Hawai`i, Sophomore, Forward
Hawai`i forward Arlene Devitt helped lead her squad to road wins against Idaho and Gonzaga last week. The 5-foot-9 sophomore from Kapaa, Kauai, contributed an assist in her teams 2-1 overtime victory against Idaho and netted a game-winning goal against Gonzaga with less than three minutes remaining in the match. Devitt finished the week of play with nine shots and three points in two games.

Ashley Anderson, Rice, Freshman, Forward
Rice freshman Ashley Anderson helped lead her squad to its first victory as a varsity team against Army on Aug. 31. The 5-foot-5 forward from Lucas, Texas, netted two goals for the Owls in their 3-2 win, including a game-winner with 1:18 left in the match. Boise State midfielder Megan McCoy, Hawai`i forward Arlene Devitt, SMU forward Lorrie Tipton, UTEP midfielder Holly Cohen, and Tulsa forward Melissa McCormick also earned nominations.
