In her first weekend of collegiate tennis, Tulsa freshman Johanna Zingman captured four straight singles matches and teamed with her sister, Gabriela, to go 3-0 in doubles at the Hurricane Invitational on Sept. 28-30.
In singles, Zingman defeated New Mexico States Samantha May, 6-0,6-2, to claim her first career win. She then continued her success, defeating Kansas Kristen Steinbock, Arkansas Christi Kincannon, and Illinois Leila Cehajic.
In doubles action, the Zingman combo defeated Blodau and Tutor of New Mexico State, Dybicz and Pacheco of Arkansas, and Mallaiah and Brown of Kansas.
