Boise States Marcus Bernston led his team at the Vandal Classic on Sept. 21-24, finishing the tournament with a 4-0 singles record, along with a 4-0 doubles record.
The junior from Alingsas, Sweden, picked up his first singles win against Idahos Brad Lum-Tucker, 5-7, 6-2, 6-3, on the first day of the Invitational. His next victory came that same day against Amod Walkakar, who played unattached. Bernston went on to defeat two of his teammates, Guillaume Bouvier and Mark Roberts.
In doubles, Bernston and Roberts claimed matches against Livingston and Cunningham (Gonzaga), Ismail and Owen (unattached), Brisbois and Lum-Tucker (Idaho), and Bouvier and Silva (Boise State).
