Others Nominated...
Fresno State junior Jessica Klenner swam to two first-place finishes and a season best against Loyola Marymount last weekend. She won the 500 free in 5:19.27 and won the 200 free with a season-best time of 1:58.28. She also swam the leadoff leg on the third-place 200 free relay team...Rice junior Mandy Mularz won the 100 free in both the Continental Airlines Classic and the Rice Invitional with times of 51.41 and 51.20, respectively. She also posted a season-best time of 23.04 to finish second in the 50 free in the Continental Classic...San Jose State junior Charlotte Pierce scored a 58.05 to win the 100 butterfly against Cal Poly. She also won the 100 free with a time of 54.90.

WAC Record Falls
In SMUs first meet two weeks ago, freshman Alenka Kejzar broke the WAC record in the 400 I.M. with a time of 4:14.93. The previous record of 4:16.91 was set by teammate Andrea Cassidy just last spring at the WAC championships.

Fresno State at USC Diving Invitational
Three Fresno State divers competed at the USC Diving Invitational Nov. 8-10, gathering six top-20 finishes among them. Freshman Ashleigh Raley was ninth in the platform event, 15th in one-meter and 16th in three-meter. Freshman Lindsay Paulekas was 12th in platform, 16th in one-meter and 23rd in three-meter. Sophomore Nicole Recupito was 11th in platform and 22nd in both one- and three-meter.

The Polls Are Out
The first poll was released on Nov. 1 and two WAC teams are including in the rankings. SMU is 11th while Rice holds the 22nd spot. Both teams were ranked in the final poll last season, along with Hawai`i.

Top Times
The Mustangs dominate the top spots on the leagues top performances list. They lead in eight individual categories and all but two of the five relays. San Jose State moved into first in the 400-medley relay. Nevada continues to hold onto two top spots, by Leticia Cunha in the 1650 free and Kathy Echiverri in the 100 breast. Rice leads the WAC in the remaining events, including the 400 free relay. Mandy Mularz leads in the 50 and 100 free while Corrie Kristick is tops in the 1000 free. Lauren Hill has the best time in the 200 breast. The top divers are both from San Jose State: Tracy Harkins and Katie Kanavas lead in the 1-meter and 3-meter events, respectively.
