The SMU women's soccer team advanced to Sunday's NCAA second round with a strong 2-1 win over 11th-ranked Texas Friday evening in College Station. With the win, SMU improves to 16-3 on the season while Texas closes the 2001 campaign with a 14-6 record. The Lady Mustangs will face fifth-ranked Texas A&M Sunday beginning at 1:30 p.m. Central time. The Aggies defeated Southwest Texas State, 3-0, in first round action.
