TUSCALOOSA, Ala.-The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association, celebrating its 40th year in existence, announced its third annual preseason All-America Division I baseball teams for the 2002 season Wednesday.

Rice senior shortstop Eric Arnold and Fresno State senior pitcher Bob Runyon were both named to preseason second-team All-Americans. Arnold hit .325 last season with 65 RBI, 15 home runs and 50 runs scored. Runyon was 10-1 with a 3.54 ERA in 20 games and struck out 93 batters in 127.0 innings.
