Hawaii, which enjoyed its most successful postseason ever, finished its season at 26-8. The 26 wins is the second most in school history.
The Wahine could never get into synch against a swarming Lobo defense as UH shot a season low 27 percent from the field and scored a season-low 43 points. The Wahine even struggled where they excel the most--on the free throw line--missing all four of their attempts in the first half.
On the other end, New Mexico executed their offense with precision. Sophomore Jordan Adams, who finished with a game-high 17 points, scored nine of New Mexico's first 11 points as the Lobos jumped ahead quickly. The Lobos took a 37-17 lead into the locker room, powered by Adams 15 first-half points and a 23-9 rebound advantage.
The Lobos dominated in the paint, out-scoring UH 34-14, and became the first team this season to shoot 50 percent against the Wahine.
Crystal Lee led the Wahine with 15 points. The senior also added four rebounds and three steals in her final game as a Wahine. Dainora Puida, who also played in her last game for UH, was the only other Wahine in double figures with 11 points.
