Golden Hurricane Looks For A 20-Year Repeat

Tulsa has played in one other NIT championship game, winning an overtime thriller over Syracuse, 86-84, in 1981.

Alabama enters the contest with a 24-10 record and has defeated Seton Hall, Toledo, Purdue and Detroit in its four NIT games.

The Hurricane enters the game with a 25-11 record, the fourth most wins in school history. Tulsa reached the finals by winning its opening game at home over UC Irvine, then getting road wins over Minnesota and Mississippi State. The Golden Hurricane then beat Memphis in the semifinals in New York.

The University of Tulsa will host a National Invitation Tournament final "Watch Party" at the Donald W. Reynolds Center on the TU campus Thursday night, March 29. The Reynolds Center doors will open at 7:00 p.m. Admission is free and concessions will be available.
