DENVER Hawaii striker Natasha Kai and Tulsa goalkeeper Kelly Wilson have been named the Western Athletic Conference womens soccer offensive and defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Kai, a freshman from Kahuku, Hawaii, earned her third player of the week award this year, posting her second hat trick of the season. The freshman scored 10 points on the week, scoring three goals in a, 5-1, win over Boise State and a pair in a, 5-0, win against Nevada. In both matches, she had the game-winning goal. She now has set or tied eight school records, including the records for points in a season (31), goals (14) and game-winning goals (4).

In the win over the Mustangs, Wilson picked up 17 saves, a school record, and one short of the conference single-match record. Despite losing to UTEP, she held the Miners to just two goals for only the third time this season.
