The Rice Owls and the Nevada Wolf Pack face off on Sunday (Nov. 3) at 1:00 p.m. in Reno.

With a 3-2 win over Boise State Friday (Nov. 1), Rice needs a win or tie against Nevada to get in. Nevada, who stayed alive with a 1-1 draw with Tulsa on Friday, needs a win over Rice to secure the sixth spot.

There are five teams that have clinched a spot in the tournament. Regular season champion SMU has locked the No. 1 seed, while 2002 surprise, UTEP, is second. The third and fourth spot will be determined on Sunday, as Hawaii and Fresno State go head-to-head to determine their seed. Tulsa is locked into the fifth spot.

The WAC Soccer Tournament is going to be held November 7-9, in Houston, Texas at the Rice Soccer Stadium. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic bid into the 2002 NCAA Tournament.
