Rice defeated a pair of midwestern colleges over the weekend. The Owls topped Nebraska 5-2 and turned around the following day to knock of the Iowa Hawkeyes by the same token. The Broncos fell to 0-4 on the season with a pair of losses to Clemson and Minnesota. Like Rice, Hawai`i pulled off a pair of 5-2 wins this past week. The Warriors defeated Gustavus Adolphus and Abilene Christian to improve to 4-5 on the season. Arkansas seventh win came in the form a 6-1 win over Tulsa. Nevada suffered three losses in as many days, falling to Santa Cruz, Pacific and San Francisco.
