Tulsas Dani Mallon has been selected as the Western Athletic Conference womens golfer of the week.
Mallon, a senior from Trophy Club, Texas, took sixth place at the TRW Regional Challenge held in Palos Verde, Calif, helping her team to take the top spot. Mallons sixth-place finish was just one shy of her career-best finish in a tournament. She shot rounds of 69-74-75 for 218 total, in a competition where 15 of the nations top 25 were in attendance.
Golfweek has Mallon listed as a top 60 player, behind teammates Stacy Prammanasudh and Suzie Fisher. The Golden Hurricane showed why they are No. 2 in the nation, by blowing past the competition at the TRW Regional Challenge. Tulsas team score of 870 was 23 strokes better than Texas who finished second and 30 better than third-place Oklahoma State.
