Other women's nominations; Karen Chao of Rice went 3-0 on the week. She posted the Owl's only singles win against. TCU coming back to win, 3-6, 6-1, 6-3. She also paired up with teammate Natalie Briaud to go 2-1. Tea Spirta had a pair of wins for UTEP, helping the Miners to a four-game winning streak. La. Tech's Annabella Duque improved to 5-1 on the season winning her singles match vs. New Orleans.

Conference Play
UTEP hosts two WAC schools this week as instate schools Rice and SMU come to El Paso. The Owls face the Miners on March 2 with Mustangs taking on UTEP on March 3.

Home Court Advantage
Fresno State looks to extend its winning streak on Saturday when the Bulldogs face No. 67 Loyola Marymount at 1:30 p.m. The following Wednesday will usher in competition against No. 38 South Alabama. Fresno State has gone 3-0 against South Alabama. South Alabama holds a 2-3 record this season.

Tulsas McMurray Reaches Milestone
The No. 51 Tulsa women's tennis team improved to 6-2 this season and made Hurricane head coach Paige McMurray the winningest tennis coach in school history with a 5-2 victory over the University of Texas-Arlington. With the win, McMurray surpassed former women's coach and current men's head coach, Vince Westbrook, for first place among Tulsas career coaching leaders with her 53rd career victory.
