John Burns Invitational
The invite played host three WAC teams. Hawai`i took 11th, scoring a three-round 882, 29 shots off the leader. Mathew Kodama took second for the Rainbows, carding scores of 69-73-67 (209) to finish two stokes behind San Diego States John Lieber.Fellow Rainbow Norman-Ganin Asao missed the top 10 by one stroke, tying for 12th with a 216. San Jose State took 16th, one place better than UTEP. The Spartans shot an 899, while the Miners carded a three-round 905. Miner Chris Baryla finished in the top 10 tying with New Mexicos Wil Collins with a 215.

Tournament Recaps (Women)
University of Arizona Invitational
Tulsa, San Jose State and SMU all competed in Tucson, Ariz., at the University of Arizona Invitational. The No. 2 Hurricane had the best showing of the three WAC schools, finishing eighth (899) among the 18 schools. Duke edged top-ranked Auburn and defending champion Arizona to capture the title. San Jose State finished 15th (932), while the Mustangs ended the tournament 18th (996).

Arizonas Lorena Ochoa took the individual title with scores of 67-69-71-207. The WACs highest finisher was Tulsas Suzie Fisher who finished tied for ninth with scores of 73-75-72-220. San Jose State seniors Rebecka Heinmert and Marcela Leon were the top Spartan finishers. Both had 54-hole totals of 232. SMUs top finisher was Kellie King who finished in a tie for 80th place, having shot an 82- 81- 79, totaling a 242.

Bay Area Classic
In Vallejo, Calif., Nevada opened the spring season with a solid sixth place finish at the Bay Area Classic. Co-host California took the title followed by Idaho and Denver. The Wolf Pack shot 312-310- for a 622 one stroke behind fifth place San Diego State.

Notes From The Greens
Golden Hurricane Warnings
The Tulsa mens and womens golf teams have been ripping through golf courses all over the nation. The men started their season off in Arizona against some of the nations top teams and took 10th, just behind No. 15 Washington. The Tulsa men are currently ranked 41st, but will surely move up after another dominating performance at the Matlock Invitational where they took first. Golden Hurricanes David Inglis shot a three-round -5 to take second. The Tulsa women are currently ranked second in the nation behind Auburn. The women won their first tournament of the season, taking the honors at the TRW Challenge. They also have three women the top 60 in the nation, where senior Stacy Prammanasudh is second.
