DENVER - WAC men's tournament champion Hawaii and runner-up Tulsa each received bids to next week's NCAA tournament. On the women's side, Louisiana Tech will be playing in the big dance.
Hawaii (27-5) is making an appearance for the second straight year. This season, the Rainbow Warriors are the 10th seed in the West Region and will meet the seven seed, Xavier (25-5), in Dallas on Friday.
Tulsa (26-6) earned a 12th seed and will take on Marquette (26-6), the East's fifth seed, in St. Louis on Thursday. The Golden Hurricane won last year's NIT and advanced to the regional finals of the 2000 NCAA Tournament.
The Lady Techsters of Louisiana Tech (25-4) are the fifth seed and will play in Austin, Texas against 12th-seeded UC-Santa Barbara (25-5).
Game times will be announced on Monday.
