Natalie Braud of Rice evened her record at 2-2 from the No. 1 spot, defeating Abilene Chritians Lacy Johnson, 6-4, 6-1. She also teamed with Karen Chao to win at the No. 3 doubles spot. Gabriela Zingman of Tulsa jumped to the No. 3 spot to help the Hurricane to a 6-1 win over Arkansas-Little Rock. Anabella Duque of Louisiana Tech went 3-1 from the No. 2 hole. She allowed only six games in her three wins. Kendally Exelby of UTEP downed Tennessee Techs Anita Obando in straight sets, then defeated Monica Martin of Idaho, 6-1, 6-3.

Hawai`i dropped a pair last week, losing to Sac State 4-3 and to No. 18 Baylor, 7-0. The Rainbow Wahine have five matches in the next seven days, starting March 13. In Boise States only match of the week, they suffered a loss to then No. 26 Washington State, 4-2. The Broncos stay at home for the Barbara Chandler Classic over the weekend. Louisiana Tech won three of four, defeating Arakansas Tech, 6-1, then Henderson State, 7-0. The Lady Techsters fell to NE Oklahoma, 6-1, but bounced back to beat Lamar 4-2. San Jose State suffered a loss to Santa Clara 5-2, and will face Sac State on March 15. UTEP defeated their two opponents, defeating Tennessee Tech, 5-2 and Idaho, 4-3. They will face NMSU in their only match next week. Tulsa won their only match, knocking off Arkansas-Little Rock, 6-1. Fifteenth ranked Fresno State racked up two more wins, as they headed to Washington. The Bulldogs beat No. 19 Washington, 4-3 and later defeated No. 34 Washington State, 4-1. Fresno States only match next week is againt California who sits one spot behind them in the polls at No. 16. In a tour of Utah, SMU defeated Utah 4-3 and BYU 6-1. The Mustangs head to Wyoming for their next match, then down Interstate 25 to Air Force before returning home.

Home Sweet Home
After playing six matches on the road, Hawai`i heads home for 15 straight matches. The Rainbow Wahine began the home stand March 5, and it concludes with Wisconsin-GreenBay on the 23rd.
