Louisiana Tech will travel to play Villanova in the second round of the NIT Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. CST at The Pavilion.
The Bulldogs (22-9) advanced to the Sweet 16 of the NIT by defeating Louisiana-Lafayette 83-63 and Vanderbilt 83-68.
Villanova (18-12) finished fifth in the East Division of the Big East Conference. The Wildcats advanced to the second round by defeating Manhattan 84-69 Thursday night.
