Tulsas Chris Noel has been selected as the Western Athletic Conference mens golfer of the week.
Noel, a sophomore from Tulsa, Okla., had his best performance of the season, with a fifth-place finish at the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, La. Noel carded rounds of 75-71-70 for an even-par 216. He helped the Golden Hurricane to their third, top-two finish in as many events. It is the first time since 1998 that the Hurricane have completed that feat.
Noels next tournament is scheduled for April 6, when he will compete in the Cleveland Golf/Augusta State Invitational.
