Nevadas Rudolf Leuschner won his only singles match and both doubles matches against Utah State and Idaho State. Rices William Baker went 2-0 in singles on the week from the No. 2 spot. He also teamed with Fabien Giraud winning one of two matches, upping their season mark to 11-1.

WAC Roundup
SMU earned its seventh and eighth wins on March 13, sweeping St. Josephs, 6-0 and defeating NIU, 5-2 in the nightcap. The Mustangs also fell to No. 20 California, 6-1. Hawaii picked up three convincing wins, beating Radford, 4-0, Navy, 6-0 and Oklahoma 6-1. The Warriors only loss came to New Mexico, 5-2. Nevada suffered a pair of losses falling to Idaho State, 5-2, and to Utah State, 4-3. Fresno State, Rice and Tulsa all played three matches in the Blue Gray Classic.

Blue-Gray Classic
Three WAC teams headed to Montgomery, Ala., for the annual Blue-Gray Classic March 14-16. Fresno State suffered a sweep in their three matches, coming at the hands of No. 28 Tulane, Louisville and No. 29 Middle Tennessee State. Rice also came up short of wins, losing to No. 46 UAB, No. 35 Tulsa and No. 47 William & Mary. Tulsas only loss came to No. 4 Notre Dame. The Golden Hurricane defeated No. 39 Rice and No. 44 North Carolina.

This Week Against the Top 25
Tulsa looks to earn their 13th win of the season, third in a row, against No. 10 Texas A&M on March 22, only to face No. 9 Texas two days later. Hawaii faces No. 6 Stanford on March 23, in the third game of their California swing. SMU heads to Athens, Ga., to take on No. 3 Georgia. Fresno State looks to avenge an early-season loss, as they take on No. 24 Harvard.

Schwitters Lands 800 Ws
Hawai`i head coach, Jim Schwitters earned his 800th win, March 19, in a 6-1 win over Oklahoma. Schwitters is the winningest coach in collegiate tennis, owning a 800-393-8 record in 36 years as the mens head coach. He also owns a 1,258-552-8 overall record, combining both mens and womens tennis. He heads for number 801 against St. Marys March 21.
