Boise States Graham DeLaet has been named the Western Athletic Conference mens golfer of the week.

DeLaet, a freshman from Weyburn, Saskatchewan, shot a five-under-par 211 to place second at the Fidelity National Title Championship. He set a personal record, shooting a 68 in the first round, only to beat that, shooting a 67 in the second. His second place finish is the highest by a Bronco this season.

DeLaets next event is the BYU Cougar Classic, April 18.

Nathan Fritz of UTEP tied for sixth at the Western Intercollegiate, carding a 72-69-70 (211). Jerome Theunis of SMU placed 14th at the Intercollegiate in Chapel Hill, N.C., posting a two-under 214.
