Boise States Renate Stoop has been named the Western Athletic Conference womens tennis player of the week.
Stoop, a junior from Amstelveen, Holland, earned two wins over the weekend from the No. 1 position. She defeated Utahs Ellen Svennson, 6-1, 6-1. She also teamed up with Helen Lawson to win her doubles match, 6-1. The two are currently ranked 49th in the nation and own a season mark of 15-3. She is the first player to win this award twice this season; she also won on March 11.
Stoops next match will be at the WAC Championships, April 26, in Tulsa, Okla.
