Rices William Barker has been named the Western Athletic Conference mens tennis player of the week.
Barker, a sophomore from Solihull, England, went 2-0 for the week, posting a win over No. 13 Jean Simon of Texas and a three-set win over Lamars Jakob Paulsen. He finished the season winning nine of 12 singles matches. Barker also teamed with Cody Jackson and Ramez Qamer to go 2-0 in doubles. Barker also won this award on Feb. 20.
Barkers next match will be at the WAC Championships, April 26, in Tulsa, Okla.
Others Nominated: Nevadas Chad Stoloff defeated Sonoma States Mark Krzysik at the No. 1 singles spot, 1-6, 6-1, 6-0 and teamed with Daniel Ericsson to win his doubles match.
