Men's Track and Field Athlete of the Week (April 29)

Boise States Justin St. Clair has been named the Western Athletic Conference mens track and field athlete of the week.

St. Clair, a senior from Tacoma, Wash., broke the Boise State record in the javelin at the Outback Invitational and automatically qualified for the NCAA Championship with a throw of 241-6 (73.62m). The throw is the best in the WAC this season and is three meters better than his previous best. He is also listed as one of Trackwires Dandy Dozen in that event.

St. Clairs next event is at the Snake River Open, May 4.

Others Nominated: SMUs Libor Charfreitag won the hammer with a toss of 72.78m at the Drake Relays. This is his fourth win in this event in as many tries. Rices Reed Ballis won the high jump with a provisional mark of 7-1 , the second best in the WAC this season.
