Tulsa senior guard Carla Morrow has signed a free agent contract with the Seattle Storm of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Morrow is the first TU women's basketball player in school history to be signed by a WNBA team and is also the first player to play professional basketball. She joins Louisiana Tech's Takeisha Lewis who was drafted by the Storm in the third round.

Morrow, a six-foot guard/forward from Missouri City, Texas, was a four-year letterwinner and starter for the Golden Hurricane. She played in 115 consecutive games during her career and averaged 9.7 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game.

This past season, she was named to the WAC second team after leading Tulsa to the best season in school history with a 17-13 overall record and an 11-7 WAC mark. She ranked second on the team in scoring (12.2), rebounds (6.0), assists (2.9) and was first in steals (1.7). Morrow started all 30 games and scored in double figures in 23-of-30 games.

Seattle completed the 2001 season with a 10-22 overall record. Morrow was one of nine rookies invited to the Storms' preseason camp.
