DENVER Rices Natalie Briaud has been named the Western Athletic Conference womens tennis player of the week.

Briaud, a junior from College State, Texas, led the Owls, going 2-0 from the No. 1 position, winning both in straight sets. She also went 2-0 in doubles, teaming up with Kylie Wallis.

Briauds next match is scheduled for April 13, against Tulane.

Other Nominations: Alicia Pillay of Tulsa went 2-0 from the singles spot and 1-1 from the doubles, helping the Hurricane to a 1-1 record. Nevadas Tjasa Jezernik went 1-1 from the No. 1 position in both the singles and doubles.
