The 16 Women's National Basketball Association teams announced their regular season rosters Friday with eight former Louisiana Tech letter winners claiming a spot on their respective teams.

Ayana Walker (Detroit Shock) and Takeisha Lewis (Seattle Storm) are the two newest Louisiana Tech members in the league as both earned a roster spot after being selected in the 2002 WNBA Draft in April.

New York Liberty guards Teresa Weatherspoon and Vickie Johnson return for their sixth year in the WNBA as both players have participated in every season of the league's existence.

2000 WNBA Rookie of the Year Betty Lennox also returns for the Minnesota Lynx after missing the majority of last year due to an injury, while Monica Maxwell made the Indiana Fever roster although she is currently listed on their injured reserve list.

The final two Lady Techsters playing in the league this year are members of the Portland Fire as Tamicha Jackson enters her third year in the league and Alisa Burras starts her fourth season.
Tech ranks third among all collegiate programs with eight former players currently in the WNBA as only Connecticut (12) and Tennessee (10) boast more.
