STAMFORD, Conn. Two Western Athletic Conference women were named to the 2001-02 Verizon Academic All-America Womens At-Large Team, as announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Tulsa golfer Stacy Prammanasudh earned first-team honors, while Nevada tennis player Tjasa Jezernik was a second-team selection.

Prammanasudh, a senior from Enid, Okla., earned All-America status with her 3.93 GPA in Exercise and Sport Science. The 2002 WAC Golfer of the Year has already earned NCAA All-America honors for her play both during the season and at the NCAA Championship. She became the second athlete at Tulsa to earn All-America status all four years when she did it this season. She won 10 tournaments in her career for the Golden Hurricane, ranking her second behind Nancy Lopez.

Jezernik, a senior from Celje, Slovenia, garnered second-team honors with her 4.00 GPA in Psychology. She was a first-team all-WAC selection in singles, while picking up second-team honors along with teammate Biljana Trpeska for doubles. Jezernik led the Wolf Pack with 12 wins from the No.1 position.

To be eligible, an athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve and maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.20 on a scale of 4.00. Sports information directors nominate eligible athletes from their schools who are named to district teams prior to being voted upon the national level.
