DENVER SMU midfielder Kim Harvey and Hawaii defender Jessica Uecker have been named the Western Athletic Conference womens soccer offensive and defensive Players of the Week, respectively.
Harvey, a junior from Garland, Texas, recorded her first-career hat trick against Baylor, helping the Mustangs to a 4-2 win in Waco. She also tallied the Mustangs only goal in a 2-1 overtime loss to Vanderbilt. On the week, she scored four goals on seven shots on goal for eight points.
Uecker, a sophomore transfer from South Carolina, directed the Wahine defensive unit, limiting Long Island to just seven shots and only two on goal. The Wahine outshot the Blackbirds 42-7 in the 6-1 win at the OHANA Hotels and Resorts Shootout.
