DENVER Nevadas Leticia Cuhna has been named the Western Athletic Conference swimming and diving Athlete of the Week.
Cuhna, a junior from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, swam on three winning relays in the relay meet against Washington State; the 200-yard I.M., 300-yard backstroke and 300-yard breaststroke. In the dual competition with the Cougars, Cuhna captured the 100-yard breaststroke and was a member of Nevadas winning 200-yard medley relay team. Her time of 1:04.74 in the 100 breaststroke is the top time by a Wolf Pack swimmer this season in that event.
The Wolf Pack won all five relays in their relay meet dual with Washington State. The Pack are now 8-1 on the season in duals.
Additional nominees included: Jessica Affleck, Hawaii.
