DENVER Nevadas Alyssa Chin has been named the Western Athletic Conference swimming and diving Athlete of the Week.
Chin, a sophomore from LaCanada, Calif., earned her second Athlete of the Week honor of the season, picking up the title for the week October 28. Chin swam in six of the 10 events in the UC Irvine Sprint meet, winning four, helping the Wolf Pack win both the Sprint and Relay meets. She won the 100-yard backstroke (58.34), 200-yard IM (2:07.52), 100-yard free (52.88) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:05.42). Chin also placed second in the 200-yard free (1:53.33) and sixth in the 50-yard free (24.63).
