DENVER Hawaiis Katie Clewett has been named the Western Athletic Conference swimming and diving Athlete of the Week.
Clewett, a sophomore from Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia, posted first-place finishes for the Rainbow Wahine in the 100 Breast (1:04.70) and 200 Breast (2:21.00) aiding UH to a victory over the University of Pacific in a non-conference dual meet on Friday, Nov. 14. Her time in the 100 Breast was a team-best cutting one second off her previous best time this season. In her only other individual event, she came in fourth place in the 100 Fly (58.94) with her season best in the event. Clewett also swam second leg on the UH 200 Medley Relay (1:44.68) team that finished first, surpassing the team best by two full seconds.
