DENVER Boise State midfielder Brennan Erickson and SMU defender Ashley Watson have been named the Western Athletic Conference womens soccer offensive and defensive Players of the Week, respectively.

Erickson, a freshman from Boise, Idaho, came in off the bench to spark the Boise State offense, breaking a scoreless tie late in the half and scored the game winner in the 42nd minute of the Broncos 5-0 win over Nevada. She added the assist on Boise States second goal in the 46th minute. Erickson posted her second goal of the day in the 68th minute to give her five points on the day.

Watson, a freshman from Richardson, Texas, had one shot on goal in a 3-3 tie versus Kentucky. She is one of two freshmen who have started each game for the Mustangs. She helps solidify the Mustang defense on a consistent basis.
