DENVER Boise States Erin Polowski has been named the Western Athletic Conference womens tennis Player of the Week.
Polowski, a junior from Boise, Idaho, went 3-0 on the week for the Broncos, knocking off her opponents from Hawaii, New Mexico and Washington State from the No. 4 position. She was the Broncos only singles player to win against Washington State. Polowski and doubles partner, Jemima Hayward, went 2-1 from the No. 1doubles spot. The only loss for the pair came against New Mexicos Maja Kvacek and Tjasa Suvak, 8-6.
Other nominees included: Blair DiSesa, Rice; Coral Silverstone, San Jose State and Daniela Muscolino, Tulsa.
