The WAC had four players make the Verizon Academic All-District Men's Basketball Teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Rice's Omar-Seli Mance is a repeat selection and joins SMU's Eric Castro and Tulsa's Jason Parker on the District VI team. Hawaii's Carl English was selected to the District VII team.

English is the WAC's leading scorer at 20.3 points per contest. Mance is averaging 16.6 points per game and leads the WAC in made three-point field goals with 3.24 per game. Parker averages 16.0 points per game and leads the league in free throw percentage (.864). Castro is averaging 9.9 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.

To be eligible for the teams, players had to possess at least a 3.20 overall grade point average and be a starter or top reserve.

All four players advance to the national ballot. The Academic All-America teams will be announced March 6.
