DENVER San Jose States Ashley Gomes has been selected as the Western Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week.
Gomes, a junior from Pleasanton, Calif., helped San Jose State to an 11th-place finish at the Arizona State Invitational. She matched her college best three-round score in relation to par, finishing with a nine over, 225 to tie for 21st. Gomes posted rounds of 74-77-74.
