The University of Tulsa Hosts Wilson/ITA Regional Tennis Women's Championship
TU hosts region's top collegiate women's tennis talent at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
Tulsa, Okla. - The University of Tulsa hosts the Wilson/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Region V Women's Regional Championships, October 20-24, at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center at The University of Tulsa. The singles finalists and doubles champion from this event will earn spots in the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships, Nov. 4-7, at the University of Michigan.
This event will feature the top players from Division I schools from twenty-five schools, including Arkansas, BYU, Colorado, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri, and host Tulsa.
TU will have seven women involved in singles competition including Lisette Pereira, Carla Zabaletta, and No. 1 seeded Daniela Muscolino, who are in the main draw of competition. The Golden Hurricane will also have three doubles teams in action.
Play begins at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, with the qualifying draw in action. The main draw will begin Thursday, Oct. 21, at 9 a.m. Start times for Friday and Saturday are at 9 a.m. Sunday's start time is TBA.
