Tech's Fall Baseball World Series to Begin on Thursday

RUSTON, La. - The third annual Louisiana Tech Fall World Series will begin on Thursday night at J.C. Love Field.

The Bulldog baseball team has been split into a blue and grey squad and a seven game world series will determine bragging rights for the year.

The seniors were split up by the coaching staff and then the seniors conducted a draft of the remaining players.

Head coach Wade Simoneaux and his coaching staff will sit back and watch as the teams compete on the field in game situations. This is used as a major evacuation tool for the Tech baseball program.

Simoneaux will be paying very close attention to the pitchers as he tries to develop some depth at the position after bring in several talented junior college pitchers that are expected to solidify the Bulldog staff behind returning weekend starters Clayton Meyer and Matt Lacy.

All games will be nine innings and there pitch count rules during the games.

Game one will be at 6 p.m. on Thursday.
