RENO, Nev. -- The University of Nevada Athletics Department announced today it has received a gift from an anonymous donor to replace the floor and courtside seating for Wolf Pack basketball in Lawlor Events Center.

The gift of $178,000 fully funds the cost of 340 luxury seats located at courtside and on both sides of the floor.

These select floor seats are part of the premier seating section, the cornerstone of the Athletic Association of the University Nevadas (AAUN) new Premium Seating Program that was introduced last summer. The Premium Seating Program features a per-seat surcharge, based on seat location. As a result, the new program will generate $1.2 million in athletics scholarship revenue. Per seat surcharges for the 340 seats will range from $1,000 to $1,500, not including the cost of the season ticket.

"We are so honored that a key donor has generously provided these new seats. These new seats, along with other new amenities, will enhance the game-night experience of other key donors, but most importantly, will generate much needed scholarship revenue for all of our student-athletes," said Director of Athletics Cary Groth.

"We in athletics continue to be inspired by the generosity of this community," Rory Hickok, Assistant Athletics Director/Development, said. There are so many wonderful friends who provide tremendous support to athletics as well as the entire university, but they are happy to go without the recognition they so richly deserve. The Wolf Pack is extremely fortunate.
