Tulsa's Grimes Named WAC Women's Tennis Player of Month

DENVER Tulsa sophomore Kindsay Grimes has been named Septembers Western Athletic Conference womens tennis player of the month.

Grimes helped lead a dominant TU womens team at the Hurricane Invitational with a 4-0 record in singles play. Grimes also went 1-2 in the Baylor Invitational. In doubles play Kindsay has a 2-3 record, including winning two matches at the Hurricane Invitational. At the Hurricane Invitational, Grimes (TU) defeated Alejandra Ripoll (WSU) 6-0, 6-0 and Daniela Renovales (ISU) 6-1, 6-3. She also beat Liz Bingier (ISU) 6-4, 6-7, 6-4, and Emilie Sechaud (ISU) 2-6, 6-0, 7-5.
