There will be a total of 15 WAC Cross Country teams traveling to their respective sites throughout the country. Fresno State will be hosting the West Regional, with other WAC teams, Boise State, Hawaii and San Jose State also in attendance. In the Mountain Region, UTEP and Nevada will travel to Ft. Collins, Colo (CSU). Tulsa will be the lone WAC team in the Midwest Region in Peoria, Ill. (Bradley). Louisiana Tech and WAC Championship's Rice and SMU will make the trek to Waco, Texas (Baylor) for the South Central Region.

  • NCAA Qualifying Determination of Participants

    The Division I Men's and Women's Cross Country Championship provides for a maximum of 31 seven-person teams and 38 individuals per championship race. Eighteen teams automatically qualify to the championships races by finishing in the top two at one of nine regional races. The remaining 13 at-large teams are selected by the NCAA Division I track and field subcommittee. Thirty-six individuals automatically qualify to the championships races by being one of the top four regional finishers not on an advancing team. Two additional individual are selected by the committee.

    TEAM
    The top two teams at each regional championship meet (seven-person teams) automatically qualify for the championship meet. Thirteen additional at-large teams will be selected by the Division I track and field subcommittee on Sunday, November 14.

    INDIVIDUAL
    1. From each regional championship meet, the first four individuals not on a qualifying team automatically advance to the finals.
    2. Two additional qualifiers will be selected at-large based on the highest non-qualifying finish in regional championship meets.
    3. All individual qualifiers must finish in the top 25 in their region.
