NCAA Volleyball Tournament Begins With Hawai`i Facing Colorado


Hawai`i is the first of three WAC teams to play in the NCAA Volleyball Tournament. Hawai`i faces Colorado in Fort Collins on Dec. 2 at 5:00 p.m. MT. Hawaii advanced to the Final Four last season and are making their 24th appearance in the NCAA Tournament. For only the second time in school history, the Rainbow Wahine enter postseason undefeated (28-0). Although UH was awarded the top seed in the Green Bay Regional, they will not host the first and second rounds for the first time since 2001, when the team was shipped to Pullman, Wash., as the top seed in the subregional.

Nevada will be in action on Dec. 3 against Wichita State at 3:00 p.m. in Lincoln Nebraska. Rice makes its first NCAA appearance on Dec. 3. The Owls will take on Michigan at 5:00 p.m. in Austin, Texas.
