DENVER Tulsas Daniela Muscolino was named the Western Athletic Conferences womens tennis Player of the Week.

Muscolino, a sophomore from Buenos Aires, Argentina, posted a singles and doubles win against a tough, 22nd-ranked BYU team. In singles action, Muscolino netted an upset victory over 39th-ranked Barbora Zahnova, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2, to notch one of only two points earned by the Golden Hurricane. Muscolino owns a 15-4 overall singles record, a 9-1 dual mark and a 3-1 record against ranked opponents this year. In doubles action, Muscolino teams with Ilona Somers for a No. 46 ITA doubles ranking. The duo combined to net an 8-4 upset over the Cougars 34th-ranked Hadley Macfarlane and Zahnova. The Tulsa tandem net a 13-9 overall doubles record, including a 5-5 dual mark.
