Fresno State, Nevada Move into First Place in Men's Basketball Standings

JaVance Coleman hit an off-balance 30-foot jumper as time expired to give Fresno State a 66-63 victory over UTEP. The Bulldogs moved intot a tie with Nevada for first place in the WAC standings. The loss snapped a 10-game winning streak for the Miners. UTEPs Omar Thomas scored a game-high 27 points in the contest.

Michael Harris pulled down a career-high 18 rebounds and scored 19 points in an 82-70 win over Tulsa on Saturday night. It was the Owls eighth straight home victory.

Nevada beat Boise State, 84-66, behind a pair of double-double performances. Nick Fazekas scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds while Ramon Sessions scored 11 points and dished out 10 assists for the Wolf Pack. Coby Karl scored a game-high 21 points for the Broncos.

Louisiana Tech defeated Hawaii, 61-59, on Wayne Powells rebound and follow-up basket with 3.6 seconds left to snap the Rainbow Warriors 13-game home winning streak. Bulldog Donell Allick scored a game-high 23 points and had six assists while teammate Paul Millsap pulled down 24 rebounds.

SMUs Bryan Hopkins had a game-high 27 points and added five steals in a 77-69 win at San Jose State. Hopkins had missed the previous game at Hawaii due to a sprained wrist.
