Nevada Improves to 6-1 in Men's Basketball

Nick Fazekas scored a career-high 33 points while Kevinn Pinkney added 21 as Nevada beat Tulsa, 75-69. The win moved the Wolf Pack into sole possession of first place in the WAC with a 6-1 record. Nevada travels to Houston on Saturday to face second-place Rice at 2:05 p.m. (CT).

UTEP defeated Hawaii, 71-70, as Omar Thomas made a pair of free throws for the Miners with five seconds remaining. Thomas finished the night with 18 points and a career-high 15 rebounds. It was the 11th straight conference home win for UTEP and the fourth loss for Hawaii, all by three points or less.

Jason Ellis returned to the lineup for Boise State and scored 10 points while pulling down a team-high eight rebounds as the Broncos beat San Jose State, 72-62. Ellis had missed the previous six games after having surgery in late December to repair a hernia. San Jose States Marquin Chandler scored 15 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the contest.

Brock Gillespie scored a season-high 19 points in Rices 83-68 win over Fresno State. The Owls improved to 5-1 in the WAC and became the fifth conference team to reach double figures in overall wins (10-4).
