Nevada remained in first place after snapping Rices nine-game home winning streak, 62-59. Ramon Sessions scored a team-high 15 points for the Pack while Rices Michael Harris had 19 points and 12 rebounds.

UTEPs Jason Williams scored a career-high 25 points and pulled down eight rebounds in a 69-65 win over San Jose State to improve to a league-best overall record of 16-3. It was also the ninth home win in a row for the Miners, the longest current streak in the WAC.

Boise State passed Hawaii in the WAC standings by beating the Rainbow Warriors, 80-76. Jermaine Blackburn scored a game-high 19 points for the Broncos.

Tulsa picked up its first WAC win of the season after beating Fresno State 68-65. Jarius Glenn led the Hurricane with 18 points. Fresno States JaVance Coleman scored a game-high 25 points.

For the second straight game, Louisiana Tech won in the final seconds as this time Corey Dean hit the game-winning basket in a 58-57 win over SMU. Paul Millsap had 25 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks for the Bulldogs.
