DENVER ?“ Utah State?™s Trever Ball and Fresno State?™s Andrea Buckner have been named the Xbox Live Western Athletic Conference Cross Country Athletes of the Week.
Ball, a senior from Hyrum, Utah, picked up his fourth honor this fall, finishing 10th at the NCAA Pre-National Meet in Terre Haute, Ind. Ball posted a time of 23:56.1 in the 8k race. He was the top runner out of all the WAC schools competing.
Buckner, a senior from Yorba Linda, Calif., finished seventh overall among the 118-runner field. She finished seventh with a time of 18:13.7 in the 5k race. For the third straight year, Buckner improved her time at the Cal Poly Invitational. She has also been the Bulldogs?™ top finisher in all five meets this season.
